14u Texas State Regional Preview

Drake Browne
The journey to the Super25 continues this weekend at Premier Baseball of Texas, where many of the state's top teams will compete for the 14u Texas State Regional championship.  With a berth to Fort Myers on the line, we are expecting a great weekend of baseball at this first-class facility located in Tomball.

Four teams have already earned their spot in the 14u Super25, including last year's National Champion, the PSA Sox Red out of Ridgeland, MS.  The Dallas Tigers - Hernandez, who finished as last year's National Runner-Up, are also headed back to the Super25 after an impressive showing in 2014.  Team Ponce out of Puerto Rico was the first team to earn a berth in the 2015 season, playing tough all weekend to win the competitive Caribbean Regional. The most recent team to earn a berth is the Houston Banditos, who clinched their spot three weeks ago by going a perfect 6-0 en route to the South Texas Regional title.

While the Banditos have already punched their ticket to the Super25, they join a strong field of teams that will be competing this weekend in Tomball, TX.  Other powerhouse programs that will be taking the field include the Houston Heat, Team Citius, Banditos of Austin, and the Texas Bandits.  With upstart programs such as the Hunter Pence Baseball Academy, Nationals Scout Team, and Team Rawlings also in attendance, competition will be stiff and a lot of great baseball will be played.

You can follow all the action from this weekend, including GameChanger live stats and play-by-play from each game, on PGSuper25.com.
