2015 SE Super Qualifier Preview

The Perfect Game Super25 Southeast Super Qualifiers for 11U, 12U, and 13U will kick off this weekend at LakePoint Sporting Community in Emerson, Georgia. The organizations involved will be competing for a berth in the National Championship. The action starts at 6 pm on Friday with the 11U squads. 

In the 11U age bracket, some teams to watch are the Mizuno TGBA Aces from Cumming, Georgia and the Home Plate Chili Dog Gosdin from Peachtree City, Georgia, who are ranked 19th and 22nd in the country respectively by Baseball Youth. The Chilidogs were runners-up in the 2015 PG 11U One Day Showdown back in March, so they aim to get over the hump this weekend. While these two teams present some stiff competition, the 643 DP Cougars are dark horse competitors looking to make some noise. 

The 12U age bracket also brings some strong competitors to the table. The Alabama Elite, champions of the 12E Deep South Regional, already have a berth in the National Championship, but look to add one more impressive tournament under their belt. However, the Atlanta Angels may stand in their way of yet another victory. The Angels made the playoffs at the PG 11U National Championships last year, and hope to continue their success. 

Georgia Team Combat, ranked as the 19th team in the nation by Baseball Youth, and the East Cobb Astros, ranked 21st, headline a strong 13U qualifier bracket. The Dirtbags Black of North Carolina are expected to push the Georgia teams for a berth in the championship. Road Runners Baseball is another team to keep an eye on, as they have the talent to make a deep run in the tournament. 

The Championship Games for all of the age brackets begin on Sunday the 17th. The 12U Southeast Super Qualifier Championship will tee off at 2pm, while the 11U and 13U Qualifier Championships are scheduled for 6pm. The winners of the 11U and 12U qualifier brackets will compete for the PG Super25 National Championships at the East Cobb Baseball Complex in Marietta, Georgia from July 16th through the 21st, while the winners of the 13U qualifier bracket will compete for a PG Super 25 National Championship in Ft. Meyers, Florida from June 19th through the 25th. It is sure to be an action packed weekend in Emerson.
