301. Chase Johnson-Mullins
, lhp, Shelton State (Ala.) JC (SO)
L-L, 6-8/200, Paris, Ky.
Previously Drafted: Rangers ’12 (24)

When Johnson-Mullins steps on the mound, you take notice of the massive 6-foot-8 lefthander. After missing all of 2013 while recovering from Tommy John surgery, the Kentucky native has continued add velocity since getting back on the mound, frequently getting into the mid-90s this spring, touching 96-97 mph. Putting up solid numbers this spring while starting, Mullins averaged a strikeout per inning showing a solid three-pitch mix.

302. Sixto Torres
, lhp, West Oaks Academy
L-L, 6-5/220, Orlando, Fla.
College Commitment: Alabama State

The hulking, physically-imposing Sixto Torres is certainly one of the more physical prospects in this year's draft, standing 6-foot-5 and weighing 220. He'll show off a very quick arm with projectable stuff and arm action, sitting in the low-90s this spring and getting up to 94-95 in short spurts. He complements his power fastball with a solid curveball, showing big depth and 12-to-6 shape, projecting as a good pitch moving forward. The size, arm, fastball potential and quality curveball all speak to his high draft potential, but the lack of a third pitch and command concerns could hold him back for now.

303. Parker Kelly
, c/3b, Westview HS
R-R, 6-2/220, Portland, Ore.
College Commitment: Oregon

A Perfect Game All-American, Kelly is a multi-tooled athlete who can play multiple positions, although his best future role might be as a catcher following a similar path as his brother Carson, a second round pick of the Cardinals in 2012, who transitioned from third base to behind the plate after turning pro. Kelly has a strong righthanded swing and plenty of power potential as a hitter and also can touch 90 mph from the mound with an advanced feel for his off-speed pitches.

304. Joseph Shaw
, rhp, Dallas Baptist (JR)
R-R, 6-5/230, Ennis, Texas
Previously Drafted: Astros ’12 (40)

With a strongly built 6-foot-5 frame, Shaw has the type of durable build that will have no problem carrying innings at the next level in a starting role. Logging a team high 86 innings and 15 starts this spring out of the Friday night role for Dallas Baptist, Shaw features a premium fastball that works in the 90-94 mph range that will touch higher at times. Making double digit starts for the first time in his career in 2015, Shaw collected 10 victories along with 69 strikeouts and shows a big breaking ball in the low-80s.

305. Jared Padgett
, lhp, Graceville HS
L-L, 6-4/200, Graceville, Fla.
College Commitment: Mississippi State

Padgett has seen his draft stock climb rapidly after seeing an increase in his fastball velocity this spring and overall improvement in his command and consistency. He was throwing in the 85-88 mph last summer but has bumped that up to the low-90s this spring. Padgett's delivery is a bit high energy but is also deceptive and works for him when he's in the strike zone. He plays at the 1A level of Florida high school sports and predictably has put up dominating numbers on the mound, including 157 strikeouts in 76 innings this spring.
