Teams Committed to BCS Finals

Perfect Game is off to a great start getting commitments from several of the top travel teams for the 2009 BCS Finals. The BCS Finals has been restructured for 2009, inviting only 64 top teams at each age division. The Finals will be held using historic Terry Park and top MLB Spring Training fields in the area. Below you will find which teams are planning on going after the rings in Ft. Myers:

14U Division: (July 7-12)
#14 – Dulins Dodgers

• top team out of Tennessee from one of the top organizations in the country.
#17 – Team Anderson
• top 3 team out of CA led by Timmy Lopes, Art Vidro, and Marcus Greene.
#19 – Orlando Scorpions
• top ranked team in Florida from one of the top organizations in the country.
#28 – Diamond Devils
• top ranked team in South Carolina from one of the top organizations in the country.

15U Division: (July 7-12)
#4 – Houston Banditos Black
• one of the top younger age programs in the country. This team will be led by CJ Hinjosa, Nick Banks, and Cody Poteet.
#5 – Aberdeen Arsenal
• one of the top younger age programs in the country. They will be led by Ryan Ripken, Austin Neary, and Sam Kmiec.
#6 – Team Anderson
• top 5 team out of CA, led by Andre Real, Kenny Mathews, and Eric Hsieh.
#15 – Team Georgia
• top 2 team out of GA, led by Danny Bermudez, Kevin Black, and Grant Wruble.
#29 – Diamond Devils
• top ranked team in South Carolina from one of the top organizations in the country.
#55 – Homeplate Chilidawgs
• top 4 team in GA, lead by top players in south Atlanta.
#56 – St. Louis Pirates
• top 2 team in Missouri and one of the top overall programs in the Midwest.
#60 – Spartanburg Phillies
• top 3 team out of North Carolina.
#67 – Cape Coral Cannons
• top 8 team out of Florida.

16U Division: (July 22-26)
#7– Orlando Scorpions
• top 2 team out of Florida, one of the top organizations in the state of Florida.
#8 – Palm Beach PAL
• top 3 team in Florida and one of the top 16u team in country each year.
#9 – Dallas Yankees
• top 2 team out of Texas, led by Matt Dean, Tyler Eager, and Tyler Kruse.
#10 – Diamond Devils
• top team in South Carolina and one of the top organizations in the country.
#13 – Hurricanes Baseball
• top 2 team out of Virginia, combined Team CP, Carolina Angels, and Carolina Astros, added Grayson Atwood, Landon Lassiter, and Ryan Mayhew.
#15 – Team Anderson
• top 3 team out of CA and one of the top younger age organization on the West Coast.
#24 – South Oakland A’s
• top team out of Michigan, led by Greg Fettes, Ryan Horavath, and Johnny Keith.
#28 – Temecula Boxers
• top 6 team out of California, part of the top West Coast ABD organization.
#32 – FTB Clap Bat
• top 8 team out of Florida, formerly Team Mizuno.
#41 – St. Louis Pirates
• top team in Missouri and one of the top overall programs in the Midwest.
#49 – Dulins Dodgers
• top two team out of Tennessee from one of the top organizations in the country, led by Will Jamison, Tyler Dailey, Michael Gunn, and Jordan Robinson.
#51 – Columbus Cobras
• One of the top two teams out of Ohio.

17U Division: (July 14-19)
#1 – Diamond Devils
• defending 17u WWBA Nat’l Champions and top 16 in 16u WWBA in ’08.
#2 – East Cobb Astros
• made up of mostly 16u players, but basically play only 17u & 18u events. Led by Dwight Smith, Kaleb Cowart, Matthew Crownover, Will West, and Tucker Simpson.
#4 – Diamond Vision Elite
• coming off a really strong ’08 finish, winning the BCS Finals and finishing in the Final Four of the 17u WWBA.
#6 – Dirtbags
• top team out of North Carolina, led by Matt Roberts, Connor Narron, DeSean Anderson, Hobbs Johnson (’08 16u WWBA MVP)
#7 – Orlando Scorpions
• top 3 team out of Florida, led by a rotation of AJ Cole, Brett Winger, Tyler Moore, and Ricky Knapp and the bats of Will Allen, Jose Dore, Ladson Montgomery, and James Ramsay.
#21 – FTB Worth
• top 4 team out of Florida, formerly Team Mizuno. Led by Derrick Workman, Michael Spence, and England Smith.
#25 – EDH Vipers
• top 5 team out of CA, led by Tyler Kuresa, Dan Child, Jake Rodriguez, Tyler Linehan, and Kyle Porter.
#30 – St. Louis Pirates
• top Missouri team, led by GJ Strauss, Derek Perez-Piris and Jake DePew.
#38 – Dallas Patriots
• top 6 team in Texas, led by Cody Polk, Ryan Swinney, Brandon Lewis, and Jared O’Neal.

• top team in Georgia, led by Trey Griffin, Stetson Allie, Ralston Cash, Karsten Whitson, Chavez Clarke, and Zack Alvord.
#7 – Illinois Sparks
• top team out of Illinois, 2nd place finish at Jupiter this fall. They will be led by JoJo Maldonado, Justin Ringo, Brian Krowlikowski, Brandon Hohl, Victor Roache, Bob Schuch, Kevin Johnson, and Justin Kopale.
#9 – Diamond Devils
• top team in SC, and a lot of the players will be off of the ’08 17u Nat’l Championship team.
#12 – Ohio Warhawks
• Top team out of Ohio, led by Brooks Hall, Jonathan Meyer, Mike Dedrick, Tyler Skaggs, Evan Jarman, Tyler Dial, and Kris Bryant.
