Perfect Game Collegiate Baseball League (PGCBL) homepage

Congratulations to the Mohawk Valley DiamondDawgs for winning the 2015 Perfect Game Collegiate Baseball League championship. The DiamondDawgs became only the third team to win the PGCBL title as the Amsterdam Mohawks claimed the last three (2012-2014) and the Newark Pilots took home the crown in the league's inaugural year of 2011. With the completion of the 2015 season the PGCBL will be naming the winners of their postseason awards, including the Coach, Player and Pitcher of the Year. The links to those features honoring those individual award winners will be added here as they are announced.

2015 PGCBL Coach of the Year
Dan Shwam, Victor RailRiders

Shwam guided the Victor RailRiders to the playoffs in their first year of existence, and a 27-23 record during the regular season. Click on the link just above to read the full PGCBL release on his accomplishments.

2015 PGCBL Player of the Year
Christian Santisteban, Elmira Pioneers

First baseman Christian Santisteban (Manhattan College) hit .377 with six home runs and 38 RBI this summer for Elmira, who claimed the West Division in the PGCBL with a 33-17 record, the second best mark in the league (Amsterdam, 40-10). He led the league with 58 hits, 43 walks, a .532 on-base percentage and a 1.123 OPS.

2015 PGCBL co-Pitchers of the Year
Kyano Cummings, Elmira Pioneers, Zach Logue, Amsterdam Mohawks

Kyano Cummings (Siena) and Zach Logue (Kentucky) pitched for the two best teams during the regular season, with the West leading Elmira Pioneers (33-17) and the East leading Amsterdam Mohawks (40-10). Cummings led the league in strikeouts with 74, going 5-1 over 10 starts, walking only 16 in 53 1/3 innings with a 1.69 ERA. Logue led the league in wins with a perfect 7-0 record, posting a 50-to-12 strikeout-to-walk ratio with a 2.29 ERA in 51 innings, spanning nine starts.
