TOP-10 CORNER INFIELD PROSPECTS

LAKELAND, Fla.--Many of the players on this list actually play a middle infield position for their high school team. But in our evaluations, PG scout Cliff Pastornicky and myself determined these players as most likely to end up as corner infielders if and when they reach the big leagues. Whether it’s because of their size or their lack of agility beyond two or three steps, we believed that these players profiled best at the corners.

There are some real power bats on this list. Yordy Cabrera is probably the best power hitting prospect in the country while Stetson Allie can hit the ball almost as far. Garin Cecchini and Eric Arce rank among the nation’s best present-day hitters. Manny Machado performed better than all of them during the games.
