Josh Hart started playing in World Wood Bat Association (WWBA) and Baseball Championship Series (BCS) events with the East Cobb Astros 14u team in 2009, the summer before his freshman year. The Perfect Game database lists him as having played in 27 total events, with only a couple of those being showcases.

Given how deep that Hart’s teams, first the EC Astros 14u, followed by the East Cobb Astros and then the East Cobb Braves, usually play into the playoffs, it’s fair to say that Hart has at least 500 plate appearances over the years at Perfect Game events, maybe even more. No one would doubt that he may be the all-time PG leader in at-bats, especially since he has probably batted leadoff for every single tournament game he’s ever appeared in.
