With this year’s first-year player draft little more than two weeks away (June 6-8), big-league teams are rapidly assembling their preferred lists of the top prospects in the college, junior-college and high-school ranks. Perfect Game has done the same with the accompanying list of the nation’s Top 500 Prospects.

For the next five days, we’ll unveil 100 prospects a day, beginning with players ranked from 1-100. The list begins with University of Oklahoma righthander Jonathan Gray, Stanford righthander Mark Appel and University of San Diego third baseman Kris Bryant, and is understandably top-heavy with college prospects through the projected early stages of the first round.

Our top 500 list has been compiled by Allan Simpson, but is a collaboration of the scouting efforts of Patrick Ebert, Todd Gold, Frankie Pilliere and David Rawnsley, with additional input from other members of the Perfect Game scouting staff.
