Virginia might’ve had a blemish opening weekend, but the Cavaliers, who remain the nation’s top team in the Perfect Game College Top 25 this week, flexed their muscles in impressive fashion against East Carolina over the weekend.

While the Cavaliers remain atop the rankings, there’s plenty of movement elsewhere in the rankings, beginning with the top 10.

Cal State Fullerton dropped one spot after a 2-2 week, while Oregon State dropped from No. 3 to No. 6 after going 1-2 over the weekend in the Pac-12/Big Ten Challenge. Meanwhile, North Carolina State and LSU each entered the top 10, while Mississippi State dropped from No. 5 to No. 10 following a 2-2 home weekend against Holy Cross.

Elsewhere in the rankings, Indiana had the biggest drop this week, plummeting from No. 10 to No. 22 following a rough weekend out in Arizona, while UCLA dropped from No. 7 to No. 14 after dropping a home series to Cal Poly. The Mustangs, though, had the biggest climb this week, going from No. 22 to No. 13 following back-to-back series wins over Kansas State and the Bruins.

Arizona State is the lone team to drop out of this week’s rankings, while Louisiana-Lafayette, which had another impressive weekend, entered the rankings at No. 24.

The Southeastern Conference leads all leagues with eight teams in the top 25, while the Atlantic Coast Conference occupies the top two spots with the Cavaliers and Seminoles.

The Perfect Game College Top 25 is released every Monday morning throughout the regular season.
