While the state of Florida has received plenty of attention already this spring for their dynamic group of high school pitching prospects, they have a second elite group of prospects as well in their high school middle infielders.

There were only four middle infielders and third basemen on the East roster for the 2013 Perfect Game All-American Classic. Floridian Nick Gordon, the Jackie Robinson Player of the Year, was of course one, along with Michael Chavis from Georgia, Ti’Quan Forbes from Mississippi and Greg Deichmann from Louisiana. Two Florida high school prospects, Milton Ramos and Tate Blackman (currently ranked 31
st and 56th, respectively, in the PG 2014 class rankings), were likely the next two players on the potential All-American list who weren’t selected.

In retrospect, there was another Florida high school product who could have very well made the team but wasn’t discussed; Orangewood Christian High School’s Forrest Wall.
