If you look at the Miami Hurricanes in 2014, the biggest story you’d have to bring up first would be their weekend pitching staff. It’s not only talented, but it’s also experienced and seems to consistently perform at a high level. In fact, it’s so deep that someone as talented as Andrew Suarez doesn’t necessarily have to start Friday nights for them. Eventually Suarez did move into the Friday role this spring, but before he did Miami had other very viable options that could conceivably pitch Friday nights in most programs like Chris Diaz and Bryan Radziewski. But, Suarez now leads the staff in innings pitched and has emerged as the team’s best 2014 draft prospect.
