The following players stood out during Batting Practice at the Northeast Top Prospect Showcase.
Michael Eberle (2015, SS, The Governor's Academy, NH) showed big power from the left side with a smooth swing. Showed nice swing from right side, but power was much better from left side.
Liam Munshi (2015, RHP, Our Lady of Mount Carmel, ON Canada) though listed as a primary pitcher showed that he can also swing it with a good line drive swing and solid contact.
Aron Fried (2015, SS, Ossining, NY) showed good bat speed with good opposite field carry, ball made loud sound off bat.
Joe Mercadante (2015, OF, Ogawam, MA) the LIU Brooklyn showed good bat speed and made consistent hard line drive contact.
Grady Paine (2015, C/OF, Mclean HS, VA) showed a solid line drive swing plane with good contact.
Lucas Rollins (2015, LHP/1B, Collingswood HS, NJ) showed pull power hitting a home run to right field, the ball really carries off bat.
Liam Scafariello (2015, OF/1B, Southington HS, CT) showed a next level bat with plus power potential. Hit the farthest ball during the evening easily clearing the LF field fence.
Drew Dickerson (2015, 3B/C/MIF, St Mary's, ON Canada) has good extension through the ball with a line drive swing and contact.
Ryan McKenna (2015, OF/RHP, St Thomas Aquinas, ME) the Liberty commit took an impressive round of BP hitting to all fields with a compact line drive swing and good bat speed. Lot of backspin line drives off his barrel.
Anthony Vieto (2015, OF/1B, St Francis Preparatory, NY) has a quick swing with strength at contact, ball really carried off his barrel.
Cooper Mrowka (2015, SS, Cheshire HS, CT) has an athletic build and swing, easy fluid swing and ball jumps off barrel. Makes hard contact.
Brendan Welch (2015, LHP/1B, Oliver Ames HS, MA) has solid build and strength in swing. Good back spin line drives to the pull side.
Anthony DeGrace (2015, LHP, St Joseph Regional, NJ) has good pull power and makes consistent hard contact.
Jimmy Titus (2016, SS, East Catholic HS, CT) has a very quick bat with a line drive swing plane.
Adam Quine (2015, OF, Horace Greeley, NY) has fluid swing path with good extension. Line drive contact and results.
Ryan Coulon (2015, 1B, St Anthonys, NY) has a nice balanced swing with plus bat speed. Hit deep homerun to Centerfield. Has strength in swing.
Jake Goodreau (2015, C, Southwick-Tolland Regional, MA) has strong swing with good back line drive swing plane. Ball has good backspin and carries.
Seamus Curran (2015, 1B/C, Agawam, MA) the Rhode Island commit has a fluid line drive swing with hard contact and good gap power.
Trevor Allen (2015, 1B/3B, Dennis-Yarmouth Reg, MA) took his batting practice Saturday morning and got things started off with a bang showing good pull power with a fluid swing plane and natural lift. Hit a long home run to RCF and bounced a few balls off the fence in the gaps.
RJ Hall (2015, 1B, Hotchkiss, MA) has strength in swing and shows gap to gap power hitting a long home run to the opposite field.
