The following players stood out during the 8 AM game of the Northeast Top Prospect showcase between the Black and Cardinal Team.
Nicholas Arre (2015, LHP, Taconic Hills, NY) pitched 3 innings striking out 5 with a 3 pitch mix. His fastball topped at 83 with good cutting action. His curveball showed good depth at 67 and showed a developing curveball at 70. Arre was also 2 for 3 at the plate.
Griffin Sanford (2015, LHP, St. Ignatuis of Loyola, ON Canada) topped at 85 with his fastball working 3 innings, he also mixed in a 12/6 curveball at 74.
Greg Holler (2015, RHP, Hopkinton, MA) started and struck out 6 in 3 innings of work, his fastball topped at 80 with good arm side run. He used a tight slider at 73 as a strike out pitch.
Cameron Reid (2015, OF/1B Notre Dame HS, NY) had a good day at the plate going 2 for 3 with a double and run scored showing an aggressive swing and gap power.
Trevor Allen (2015, Dennis-Yarmouth Reg, MA) followed up his impressive batting practice with a double and RBi.
Michael Eberle (2015, MIF, The Governor's Academy, NH) and Anthony Meduri (2015, St Augustine Preparatory, NJ) each had a hit for the Black Team
Lucas Rollins (2015, LHP, Collingswood HS, NJ) has a loose arm action with good arm side run on his fastball that topped at 83.
Jake Kelly (2015, RHP, West Haven, CT) has a clean onoie delivery, his fastball topped at 83 and mixed in a tight slider at 74.
Buddy Dewaine JR (2015, RHP, Montville HS, CT) had a quick easy inning with 3 strike outs, has fastball topped at 90 using an easy arm action. He also collected a hit.
Christian Aybar (2015, OF/SS, Bishop Hendricken, RI) has s short compact swing with good bat speed, he was 2 for 3 on the day with a run scored.
Grady Paine (2015, C/OF, Mclean HS, VA) showed good barrel control and had a double.
Joseph Ferolie (2015, 2B, Northern Valley Regional, NJ),and Joe Mercadante (2015, OF, Agawam, MA) each had a hit for the Cardinal Team.
