The following players stood out for the Texas Orange Team during their two 5 inning games today.
Matthew Hansen (2015 RHP, Montgomery, TX) has solid control of his fastball that had late life. He topped at 84. He also showed good feel for his curveball.
Weston Brown (2015 RHP, Cypress, TX) has a quick arm and topped at 87 with his fastball, he also mixed in a good 76 MPH change up. He also showed tools at the plate collecting two hits and 2 stolen bases.
Elijah MacNamee (2015 OF, Cypress, TX) also topped at 87 with his fastball with late life. He also had a hit in the game.
Ricardo Silguero (2015 OF, Upland, CA) went 1-3 with a double.
Nick Poirier (2015 SS, Alamo, CA) went 1-2 driving in a run with an RBI triple. Has a strong athletic build.
Nick Benavides (2015 C, Mission, TX) went 1-2 with a double. He has a solid swing and shows power to all fields.
Payton Burson (2015 OF, College Station, TX), Reid Johnson (2015 C, Buda, TX), Andrew Aaron Martinez (2015 SS, Cypress, TX), Ryan Wieligman (2015 SS, Stillwater, OK) and Colton Whitehouse (2015 2B, Mansfield, TX) all collected a hit today.
