The following players stood out during the Royal and Steel teams during their game at the National Underclass South Showcase.
Brice Armistead (2017 LHP, Katy, TX) has a young build and delivery. His fastball topped at 84 and mixed in a curveball at 69. He also had a hit.
Chase Dickson (2016 LHP, Corpus Christi, TX) worked his fastball up to 82 MPH and mixed in a 72 MPH curveball.
Slater Foust (2016 3B, Georgetown, TX) also topped at 82 with his fastball and mixed in both a 66 MPH curveball and 74 MPH Change up.
Cole Boyd (2016 OF, Winthrop, AR), Cameron Ellis (2016 2B, McKinney, TX), and Mason Meredith (2016 OF, Houston, TX) all collected a hit for the Royal Team.
Logan Ammons (2016 RHP, Douglass, TX) was up to 84 with his fastball and showing a 4 pitch mix. His curveball was up to 69, change topped at 75 and a slider at 74. Logan also showed good skills with the bat going 2 for 2 with 2 runs scored.
Dillon Nesbit (2017 C, Spring, TX) was also up to 84 with his fastball and mixed in a 71 MPH curveball.
Caden Bonds (2018 SS, McKinney, TX), Bo Fricks (2016 2B, Macon, GA), Reece Easterling (2017 SS, College Station, TX), Noah Mehrle (2016 OF, Liberty Township, OH), Tyler Wernli (2016 RHP, Montgomery, TX), Grayson Skweres (2016 OF, Houston, TX) and Eric Moore (2016 SS, Houston, TX) all had a hit for the Steel Team.
