The following players stood out during the the Navy vs Kelly Green game at the 2014 National Underclass South Showcase.
Caleb Armstrong (2016 RHP, Monroe, LA) has a quick arm and good command of his 84 MPH fastball. He did a good job of missing barrels keeping hitters off balance with his 70 MPH FB and 70 MPH change up.
Austin Hoffmann (2016 3B, San Antonio, TX) has a good line drive swing plane. He went 1 for 2 with a triple. He also showed a strong accurate arm from 3B.
Jeffrey Elkins (2017 OF, Lafayette, LA) Also had a hit for the Kelly Green Team.
Ian Lutz (2016 RHP, Cypress, TX) went 1 for 2 at the plate and showed good base running instincts with 2 stolen bases.
Grant McDaniel (2016 OF, Victoria, TX) also had a hit showing a quick bat.
