The following players stood out for 17-Black and 18-Maroon of the National Underclass East Showcase in Fort Myers FL.
17-Black
Leif Bigelow (2018 RHP, Brattleboro, VT) Mid field approach with a line drive swing plane and good contact.
Phillip Felicien (2016 1B, Ocala, FL) has good bat speed with quick hands, best contact was to center field, has lift in swing.
Samuel McMillan (2017 C, Live Oak, FL) has a line drive swing plane with some pull power, has good feel for barrel.
Taylor Pridgen (2018 1B, Eustis, FL) has good strength for age, swing is short with good extension, has feel for barrel.
18-Maroon
Brett Holtz (2017 1B, White Plains, NY) has a projectable build, good bat speed with lift and mid field approach.
Connor Maginnis (2016 SS, Metairie, LA) compact swing with a consistent barrel, makes loud contact with ball, has good feel for hitting.
Connor Power (2016 3B, Wellington, FL) repeats swing plane well, has good power and leverage in swing. Makes hard contact.
Patrick Irish (2017 C, St. Augustine, FL) has a short quick swing with natural lift, barrel is quick through zone.
Tyler Ward (2017 1B, Jupiter, FL) Has plus bat speed with loose quick hands. Has strength at contact and projects at plate.
