The following players stood out in their Batting Practice at the Sunshine Southeast Showcase.

Donald Hammond III (2016 C, Hampton, GA) is a physical presence in the batter's box. At a solid 6-foot-1, 205 pounds he was able consistently tap into his strength and backspin the baseball, showing power to the deepest part of the ballpark.

Michael Kranzburg (2017 1B, Winston-Salem, NC) is big, imposing hitter with easy strength. Kranzburg displayed good bat speed throughout his round of BP and has natural loft and carry to the power alleys.

Tyler Esplin (2017 3B, Lake Bluff, IL) has an aggressive approach and a showcased a violent, yet controlled swing. He really put a charge into some balls, especially to his pullside.

Cole Brannen (2017 SS, Elko, GA) is a good athlete and solid present strength in his 6-foot, 170 pound frame. He generates good bat speed which should only improve as he continues to mature and uses a level path to consistently make hard, line-drive contact.

Lael Lockhart (1B  Jr., 2016, Friendswood) flashed very good potential from both sides of the plate. The athletic 6-foot-3, 195 pound 1B/LHP has good balance, an easy weight transfer into contact, good speed, and natural loft in his swing.

The ball really flew off of Hayden Freeman's (2016 3B, Hoover, AL) bat.  The physical 6-foot-2, 212 pound infielder maintained good rhythm and used good bat speed and strength to wear out the left-center field gap.

Jake Hammond (2018 1B, Monroe, LA) doesn't look the part of a freshman. At 6-foot-3, 225 pounds Hammond has easy strength and above-average bat speed and he peppered the middle of the field with line drives.

Jacob Bassil (2016 SS, Brooklyn, NY) has a projectable frame 6-foot-2, 185 pound frame and currently offers an easy, loose swing with a level plane conducive to line drives.

Tyler Musselwhite (2016 MIF, Lumberton, NC) is a solid, compactly built athlete that continues to improve. He has efficient, repeatable hitting mechanics and surprising pop, especially to his pullside.

Erickie Godfrey (2016 1B, Atlanta, GA) has a loose stroke from the right side and has above-average bat speed to go along with his strong-bodied build.

Tyler Sylvester (2016 3B, Lithonia, GA) is another Georgia prep with solid bat speed and strength. He's able to let the ball travel deep and use his quick wrists to barrel balls with authority.

Bryant Jacox Jr (2016 OF, Baskerville, VA) still needs to add some more strength to his 5-foot-10, 145 pound frame, but he has some quick twitch athleticism and displayed a nice, loose swing with pretty consistent feel for the barrel.

Nathan Anthes (2016 C, Marietta, GA) has solid hitting tools and mechanics, with a good, balanced weight transfer and good bat speed and acceleration through contact.

Jeffrey Omohundro (2016 SS, Dothan, AL) is still developing and has a solid, yet projectable 6-foot, 180 pound frame. He flashed some looseness in his swing and the ability to get extended and create backspin.
