2015 Midwest Under

13-Teal vs. 14-Texas Orange
8/22/2015 6:09:27 PM
Richard Atkins (2019 Marion, IA) the young lefty was good for two base hits.  Atkins has a simple approach at the plate and looks to drive everything back up the middle.

Calvin Harris (2020 Peosta, IA) collected three hits in today's game.  Being in the youngest graduation class at the showcase doesn't seem to bother Harris based on his confidence and aggressiveness at the plate.

Tegan Woods (2018 Freeport, IL) had three hits on the day.  Woods starts with an open stance and low hand set and lets the ball get deep on him with his middle/away approach.

Ethan Hayes (2017 Cedar Falls, IA) is a big strong kid who had three extra base hits today, including  a dobule and two triples.  Hayes moves well on the base paths and showed good bat speed.

Jordan Wendel (2017 Schaller, IA) had a hit in his first and last at bat.  Wendel has a strong load and swings on a line drive swing path.  Was also up to 82 MPH on the bump.

Owen Carstensen (Marion, IA) is an athletic kid who is very aggressive on the base paths stealing third base and quickly taking home on a wild pitch.  Carstensen also had two hits.

Noah McCreary (2018 Davenport, IA) showed a good approach at the plate to go along with his quick bat and quality barrel control. Both of his hits led to him scoring.

Dawson Deitch (2017 Ankeny, IA) has a strong body and uses it in his swing.  Deitch was two for three on the day with a run scored.
