Kallen Magli (2028 SS, Deforest, WI) showed nice two-way ability today, driving the ball hard the other way for a line drive to right field. He does a nice job of staying balance and attacking pitches in the zone. On the mound he ran his fastball up to 80 mph. He showed the ability to land a short breaking curve off of it, keeping hitters on edge for his whole outing.
Ash Marcel (2028 C, Chicago, IL) had a strong outing on the mound today thanks in large part to his advanced fastball/curveball combination. His fastball has nice running action to his arm side and he pairs this with a curveball that features two plane break. He did a nice job of getting outs by being unpredictable with these offerings.
Andre Purpura (2029 C, Marion, IA) made the most of his at bats today which included two hard hit line drives. The first one he turned on and sent it over the third baseman's head for what would have been a double on a full field. He followed that at bat up with a hard hit ball back up the middle, showing good patience and balance at the plate.
Carson Rose (2028 RHP, Hancock, WI) showed nice potential on the mound today, sitting 77-78 mph with his fastball that had good life through the zone. He has an easy operation and is able to throw his fastball on a nice downhill plane that makes it tough on opposing hitters. He also features an advanced 12-6 curveball.
