1-Gray vs. 2-Green Game Highlights
2/25/2024 11:55:46 PM

Sean Campbell (2025 RHP, Brookfield, IL) showed nice pitchability today during his outing.  He utilized his 84 mph fastball early in counts to get ahead of hitters and put them away with his 11-5 curveball that he could either locate down out of the zone for swings and misses or he could land for called strikes.  He does a nice job of keeping the same arm action to disguise which pitch is coming.

Quinn Scott (2026 C, Hampton, IL) was consistently on time at the plate today and it paid off for him, resulting in two hard hit balls today.  He was all over an early offering and sent it deep into center field in his first at bat.  Later in the day he showed off his quick hands in was able to stay inside the baseball and drive it to left.  He has strong hands and was able to translate his batting practice round into game action.

J Owen Dobberstein (2025 RHP, Pewaukee, WI) was sharp on the mound today, working his 86 mph fastball to both sides of the plate keeping the hitters on edge.  He filled the zone up early and was able to go after hitters later in the count with a nasty curveball that had hitters fooled all day.  His fastball explodes out of his hand and features good life through the zone.

Jimmy Downs (2025 3B, Chicago, IL) had a loud outing the plate today, making hard contact in seemingly every at bat.  He does a nice job of staying on balance and timing up the pitcher when hitting.  He has the hand quickness, and strength, to turn on inside pitches and the discipline to let the outer half pitches travel before launching them into the gaps.

Joseph Dusell (2025 LHP, Elgin, IL) is a power pitcher that has natural arm talent.  The lefty has clean mechanics and the ball explodes out of his hand, running up to 88 mph with enough run to keep the ball off the barrel if hitters are able to catch up to it.  He pairs his heater with a sharp breaking 1-7 curveball and a sweeping slider.  He also showed the ability to land a change up with good fade in the zone for a strike.  He features an impressive 4 pitch mix that will give any lineup fits.

Ethan Oatman (2025 RHP, Mosinee, WI) utilizes his entire strong frame well when on the mound.  He has a smooth, easily repeatable motion and explodes at release allowing him to run his fastball up to 85 mph.  He worked his fastball to all four quadrants and spun his slider off it at 2585 pm.  He has the tools to be a dominant arm in the near future.
