The fourth ranked team in the nation, St. Francis (Mountain View), faced their biggest test of the young season last night. The matchup against Bishop O'Dowd ace
Joe Ross would have been a tough draw for anyone. But St. Francis proved they belong in the conversation for best team in America by beating O'Dowd 3-0.
Reports are that Ross pitched very well, but St. Francis came through with big hits in key spots. 3B
Tyler Goeddel went 2-for-3 with a double for the Lancers. There was a very large turnout of scouts at the game and though Ross was the hard luck loser, the UCLA commit likely helped his draft stock.
