Science Hill
LHP Daniel Norris, the #1 ranked player in the 2011 class started his season with a bang, striking out 15 in 6 2/3 no hit innings, before being pulled one out away from a no-hitter. A large amount of scouts were in attendance to see the potential first round pick and he did not disappoint, running his fastball up to 95-96 and mixing in a curveball and changeup.
Heath Loyd, a transfer from Providence Academy, had a big debut with three extra base hits and three RBI to give Science Hill an 8-0 win over Tennessee High in early Big Eight Conference Play.
