Last Tuesday, Dr. Phillips led undefeated Orangewood Christian 6-5 going into the top of the 7th. Orangewood came back to score three runs in the top of the inning on a
Christian Magno homerun and then shut down Dr. Phillips in the bottom half for a big win.
Dr. Phillips got even last night, ending Orangewood undefeated season with a 12-10 win in the Spring Break Slam tournament.
Jack Flaherty went 3-5 with a homerun and two RBI, while
Ryan Larson had three hits with a double and two RBI.
Tomas Nido went 2-4 with a home run and four RBI to pace the Orangewood offense.
Dr. Phillips will take on Wekiva in one semi-final, with Martin County and West Orange facing off in the other.
Orangewood plays Edgewater Wednesday in consolation play.
