In the final regular season game of the year Mountain Pointe's
Kevin Cron crushed a pair of Home Runs to break the last remaining state Home Run record. Cron's 22nd HR of the year tied the state record for a single season (which he also tied last year as a Junior), then he broke it later in the game to move into sole possesion of first place.
Cron also holds the career record for Home Runs as well and will have a chance to extend his lead in both categories as the playoffs get underway this week. Mountain Pointe also set a team record for most Home Runs in a season with 79 (28 games) and are the #2 seed in 5A Division I.
