Science Hill ace Daniel Norris lit up radar guns with a fastball that reportedly topped out at 96 MPH and slowed down one of the best lineups in the state as the Hilltoppers took down Farragut 5-3 Saturday.
Norris extended his no-hit streak to 14 innings before a single by
Chandler Vannoy in the third broke it up (Norris threw back-to-back no-hitters leading up to the matchup with Farragut). Vannoy came around to score the first run of the game. Farragut took a 2-1 lead into the sixth inning before a two-out two-run Home Run by
Kevin Nelson that put Science Hill up for good. Science Hill added two in the top of the seventh, Farragut's rally fell short after scoring one in their last at bat.
