Jacob Brown (2017, RHP, Greensboro, NC) went 2-2 with 2 1Bs, RBI, SB, R. Brown has good speed and good instincts on the bases the will allow him to create havoc at the top of a lineup. 

​Chase Brantley (2016, C, Zebulon, NC) went 1-2 with a 1B, RBI,  R. Brantley stayed hot at the plate  and continued to show his ability to split gaps. 

Kip Brandenburg (2016, SS, Greensboro, NC) added another 1B, RBI and R to his daily total. Brandenburg showed the ability to go the other way with a LD 1B to RF and a deep SF in the RF corner. The 2016 hitter has a patient approach and good bat speed at the plate. 

Jalen Jenkins (2016, OF, Waxhaw, NC) again impressed with his bat going 2-2 with 2 1Bs. Jenkins is an offensive catalyst and always is a threat to run when he gets on base. 

Austin Carroll (2016, RHP, Chester, VA) went a near perfect 4 innings on the mound only giving up 1 hit while punching out 7. Carroll pitched in the 78-80 range with his FB and kept hitters of balance with a 70 SL and CU in the low 70s.

Dean Looney (2016, OF, Matthews, NC) has been the star of the show all weekend, and there isn't much more to say besides he just hits, hits, hits. Last game he showed the ability to hit the ball hard the other way; this game she showed the ability to drive the ball out of the ballpark with ease to the opposite field. Looney took a mid 80s FB an easy 400' to LCF that could have easily found a windshield had it not hit the top of the 30' net. The 2016 grad finished the game 1-2 with a HR and 3 RBIs showcasing his lightning bad speed and strength.

Josh Hollifield (2016, SS/3B, Weddington, NC) continued to show his in game power with any hard extra base hit. Hollifield has very strong wrists them help in drive the ball with consistency. The 2016 grad also showcased his defensive talents with a nice charging play in front of the bag at 3B. 

Jordan Varela (2017, SS, Raleigh, NC) went 1-2 with a 2B and later came around to score. Varela is a spark plug at the top of the lineup. The 2017 grad has a LD swing plane.

Will Proctor Jr. (2016, 3B/OF, Germantown, MD) roped a LD 1B and proceeded to lace a double to finish 1-1 at the plate. Proctor is a good athlete with tools that play in the field as well as at the plate. 

Brandon Merritt (2016, OF, Chadbourn, NC) is a great athlete. Merritt is a quick twitch athlete with good foot speed and good instincts on the bases.  The 2016 grad finished the game 1-2 with a 1B and later came around to score. 

Logan Crabtree (2017, INF, Pittsboro, NC) posses a frame with excellent projection. Crabtree hits with an oppo approach, and showcased it by lining a hard double to the opposite field. 

Jake Isbell (2016, RHP, Holly Springs, NC) threw 4 innings scattering 3 hits while striking out 4. Isbell pitched in the 80-84 range with his FB while mixing in a good 75-76 SL. The 2016 grad also flashed a CU in the low 70s that he was able to keep down in the zone.

Josh Hollifield (2016, SS/3B, Weddington, NC) showed in game power with laser HR to left field. Hollifield has a large frame and strong build. The ball jumps off Hollifield's bat and he could be a mainstay in the VMI lineup for years to come. ​

Dean Looney (2016, OF/1B, Matthews, NC) is a high level hitting prospect who makes hard contact to all fields. Looney can flat out hit, and he has shown it all weekend in games and in batting practice. The 2016 grad is not afraid to let the ball travel, stay inside, and shoot it through the left side. Looney went 2-2 with 2 1Bs, 1 SB and later scored.

​Reid Johnston (2017, 3B, Enfield, NC) hit a towering HR to RCF, right past where the bullpen jets out, not a cheap shot by any means. Johnston has leverage and lift in his fluid stroke. The 2017 has a knack for getting the barrel on the ball and generates lots of backspin. 

Jordan Varela (2017, SS, Raleigh, NC) went 1-2 with an RBI 2B. Varela has good bat speed and gets the barrel on the ball enough to split the gaps with frequency. 

Chase Brantley (2016, C, Zebulon, NC) went 1-2 with an RBI 3B to LCF and later came around to score. Brantley is currently a gap to gap hitter with some pop. 

Kip Brandenburg (2016, SS, Greensboro, NC) has been on the radar all weekend. Brandenburg showed well during OF and INF workouts as well as BP. That good performance has continued into game play in which he went 1-1 with a LD 2B and RBI SF. The 2016 grad is a pull hitter with a quick bat and good power to the left side.

​Noah Bridges (2017, OF, Four Oaks, NC) for the second game in a row, singled and stole a base. Bridges has a high baseball IQ and demonstrates it on the bases. 

Jalen Jenkins (2016, OF, Waxhaw, NC) impressed with his bat a game after doing the same on the mound. Jenkins went 2-2 with 2 1Bs and 2 SBs. Whenever he gets on base he's a threat to run. Jenkins provided 2 of the games only 4 hits. 

Kitt Capell (2016, C, Prosperity, SC) had an oppo 1B during game play. Capell peppered the right side all game showing the ability to stay inside the ball with his quick compact swing.

Will McNeel (2016, RHP, Zebulon, NC) has a good frame and throws from a 3/4 arm slot. McNeel's arm action is deceptive because he hides the ball well. The righty has clean mechanics allowing him to pitch in the 83-85 range with his FB, 69-72 CB and 77 SL.

​Noah Heatherly (2016, C, Waynesville, NC) showed good instincts on the bases after a 2-2 day at the dish. Heatherly singled twice and showed good feel at the plate. 

​Will Proctor Jr. (2016, 3B/OF, Germantown, MD) smoked an RBI triple and proceeded to lace a double to finish 2-2 at the plate. Proctor has good bat speed and feel for the barrel in his short compact swing. 

Reid Johnston (2017, 3B/RHP, Enfield, NC) showed well on the mound and at the plate. Johnston had an RBI double as well as a single to finish 2-2. He came in to close out the game pitching 83-83 with his FB. Johnston pitches from a 3/4 arm slot and mixes in a low 70s CB with good depth. 

Hunter Barnes (2016, RHP, Angier, NC) threw 4 innings while surrendering 3 hits and 1 run. Barnes used a 78-81 FB and a 66 CB to keep hitters at bay. Barnes throws from a low 3/4 arm slot and gets good extension. 

​Riley Zayicek (2016, OF/3B/1B, Mooresville, NC) drilled a double to RCF showing off his ability to elevate and drive the baseball. Zayicek profiles as a middle of the order run producer.

​Matt Phipps (2016, C/1B, Dublin, OH) made consistently hard contact in both at bats. He has present strength in his physical frame that translates well to the plate. He singled in his second at bat and later scored.

Noah Liles (2017, OF, Angier, NC) showed off his above average speed stealing second after singling. Liles ran a 6.84 60 during workouts. 

Noah Bridges (2017, OF, Four Oaks, NC) continued to impress with the bat after a good showing in BP. Bridges posses a short compact swing. He singled on a hard line drive then stole second.

Zachary Bryon (2016, LHP, Kingsport, TN) dealt on the mound for 5 innings. In his 5 innings of work he surrendered 4 hits and 1 run while striking out 8. Bryon throws from a 3/4 arm slot with easy arm action. He has great feel on the mound, and real understands how to pitch. Bryan worked in the 80-83 range with his FB which was complimented by a 70-73 SL. 

Josh Hollifield (2016, SS/3B, Weddington, NC) a VMI commit, impressed with the bat during game play and during batting practice. Hollifield has the ability to make consistently hard contact.

Jalen Jenkins (2016, LHP, Waxhaw, NC) threw 2 scoreless innings and posses the ability to keep hitters off balance. He struck out 2 over his 2 innings of work. Jenkins worked in the 70-71 range with his FB, 60-61 CB and 67 SL.

Jacob Brown (2017, RHP, Greensboro, NC) threw 3 scoreless innings while surrendering 1 hit, 0 runs and striking out 6. Brown throws from a 3/4 arm slot and with lightning quick arm speed. He has the ability to sink his FB in the 83-87 range. Brown mixed in several good SLs in the 76-79 range.

​Zachary Bridges (2016, C/3B, Four Oaks, NC) is a legitimate power threat. Bridges showed good bat speed and had leverage in his swing. His short stride allows him to be on time translating into present power. 

Kip Brandenburg (2016, SS, Greensboro, NC) has an XL frame with plenty of present strength. Brandenburg has leverage in his swing. He is able to use good hip torque to produce HR pop.

William Proctor Jr. (2016, 3B/OF, Germantown, MD) has quick hands and trigger. His simplistic mechanics and approach allow him to make consistent contact and the ball jumps off the barrel.

Dean Looney (2016, OF, Matthews, NC) has lightning bat speed. Very loud contact producing Mickey Mantle type comparisons from the left side. Looney has present power thanks to his big hip torque and strength. Bat first guy and the bat will play. 

Josh Hollifield (2016, SS/3B, Weddington, NC) has quick hands with plus strength matching his mature build. His linear swing has strength off the barrel translating to line-drive gap pop. HR power will develop down the road. 

Corbin Watson (2016, MIF, Mooresville, NC) is highly projectable. Watson has a very smooth easy swing that makes consistently hard contact. Peppered the gaps all BP, and projects for power.  

Brandon Merritt (2016, OF, Chadbourn, NC) has excellent physicality. Quick bat with twitchy repeatable mechanics. Merritt has excellent bat speed allowing him to square balls up on the barrel often.

Riley Zayicek (2016, OF/3B/1B, Mooresville, NC) hits from a low hand set, and gets very good torque. Zayicek has good bat speed that produces strength off the barrel. Throughout BP he showed the ability to consistently drive balls with authority.
