2011 Top Prospects

Jared Fisher  RHP - 2011 - Bellevue, WA
University of Washington

Fisher has an excellent pitcher's build and shows a high degree of pitchability on the mound. He has shown his ability repeatedly against the top players in the country and continues to impress with his stuff. Features a low 90's fastball and mixes in a tight 11-5 curveball and a good changeup.

Trevor Mitsui  1B - 2011 - Lynwood, WA
University of Washington

Tall and strong athlete who also runs well. Smooth and athletic at first base but the bat is the real story for him. Very smart at the plate and has an advanced approach to hitting. Looks to make line drive contact, but has the power to go deep at any time.

Brian Olson  C - 2011 - Black Diamond, WA
Seattle

Olson is one of the best catch-and-throw guys in the country. He has a very quick transfer and release and shows a big arm behind the plate. Shuts down the running game.

Cole Ferguson  C - 2011 - Salem, OR
Uncommitted

Ferguson is a strong and durable athlete with a high motor. He plays the game at full speed and shows good skills behind the plate. Good receiver with a quick transfer and release, and arm strength. Can swing it at the plate and his power projects too.

Seth Heck  MIF - 2011 - Edmonds, WA
Uncommitted

Heck had a big weekend, collecting several hits in game play, including a long homerun to left field at Newport HS. Makes all the plays up the middle and shows he can handle the bat as well.

2012 Top Prospects

Dylan LaVelle  SS - 2012 - Lake Stevens, WA
Oregon State

LaVelle is a slick-fielding MIF and one of the best players in the 2012 class. He makes all the plays up the middle and his throws have serious carry across the diamond. Strong and athletic build, and his strength translates well to his swing. The ball comes off his bat hard. Also mid to better 80's on the mound.

Trevor Lane  LHP - 2012 - North Bend, WA
University of Illinois-Chicago

Lane had a strong showing over the weekend and made a case for himself as a two-way player. He can go get it in the outfield and handle the stick at the plate. He may be even more interesting on the mound, where we saw him run his fastball up to 84mph in a brief outing, also showing a tight spinning mid 70's curveball.

Anthony Blackie  RHP - 2012 - Marysville, WA
Uncommitted

Blackie will be an interesting follow for the coming spring. He is a good athlete with an arm that really works. He has armspeed and a loose arm action that could wind up producing some serious velocity. Could really make a jump in that area by spring.

Aaron Sandefur  RHP - 2012 - Bellevue, WA
Uncommitted

Sandefur is a tall and lean athlete who really projects well on the mound. Clean mechanics and throws with lower effort. Will be one to follow in the spring.

2013 Top Prospects

Stefan Van Horn  C - 2013 - Puyallup, WA
Washington State

Van Horn was one of the pleasant surprises of the weekend. Long and lean build with present strength. Advanced hitting approach and the ball really jumps off of his bat; took an excellent BP round. Big arm behind the plate and will be a high level follow this spring.

Garrett Anderson  MIF - 2013 - Puyallup, WA
University of Washington

Anderson may have had the best defensive tools at the event. He takes his feet to the ball very well and can make every play. Throws carry, and has the arm strength to make the throw from deep in the 5-6 hole. High level body control and footwork, fun to watch play defense.
