Ok here are this weeks SEC Matchups and my predictions.

#2 LSU vs # 8 Arkansas(GAME OF THE WEEK)
This is the series Ive been waiting for, and will probably put the winner in a good position to win the SEC WEST. This is the best pitching in the SEC vs the best hitting in the league. Normally my picking logic would have LSU losing, but its hard to go against my Tigers right now. The thing is is that LSU has just as good a pitching staff (but not better) than Arkansas, and we have the best defense behind them, and I think it will be just enough to get us a series victory in a hostile enviornment. (Prediction LSU 2-1)

#9 South Carolina vs Florida
Gamecocks are gettting hot lately and I though the Gators were too but they just arent very impressive this year. Ill give Florida a win just because they are home. (Prediction USC 2-1)

#22 Miss St. vs Texas A&M
I think Miss St. should have won that home series against LSU, but we pulled it out somehow and I think that series deflated them a little, but they are coming around after a strong showing against Florida. I really thought A&M would be better than what they were but after losing the series bad to bottom feeder Auburn, they are slowly falling out of the race. (Prediction Miss St. 3-0)

Alabama vs # 21 Ole Miss
I honestly thought a few weeks ago that Ole Miss had a team capable of winning at all, though I do think they will wreak some havoc in the SEC the rest of this year and finish strong. Alabama is a little better than I thought they were but arent good enough this year to consistently hang with the big boys. Low scoring games this weekend, but the Rebels win them all at home. (Prediction Miss 3-0)

Georgia vs Auburn
Could we get worse than Mizzou/Uga. We sure can. Not much to say about the bottom feeders but I do think that Auburn will sweep Georgia at home. (Prediction Auburn 3-0)

Tennesee vs #10 Kentucky
Kentucky is licking their wounds after after getting outscored 31-6 by my Tigers this weekend. Regardless, I still believe Kentucky is a legit contender in the SEC. I like Tennessee a lot but they keep dissapointing me, and that 19-2 beatdown by SC is still heavy on their minds. This is a matchup of mental comeback, one that I think the wildcats will win. (Prediction UK 2-1)

Missouri vs #3 Vanderbilt
Missouri won a tough series at UGA, which isnt saying much, and they are looking better, but better still isnt that good, and wont be enough to even sniff a win at Vanderbilt. (Prediction 3-0 Vandy)

Gonna be a great series hogfan. You think youre hogs can steal one from us or are my Tigers gonna sneak out of there with a win.

Arkansas 2-1 (Homer pick I know) just can't go any other way. But man, this series could go either way. Great pitching against great hitting. I think the key becomes can the defenses play clean baseball and not have any mental errors. That also goes for base running, can't be having guys erased on the base paths. I won't be mad with any result unless we're swept. This is an Omaha level series IMO. PS. For those upset watchers, watch Hogs midweek against New Mexico. van Horn won't use any weekend arms more than likely and will be looking to the weekend.

I think USC gets 2/3 vs the Garors. They have looked like a different team since the Hogs swept them a few weeks ago.

I agree State just needed a series victory. They finally got that last week and will get another 2-1 win I think this week.

I think Ole miss takes 2/3 from Bama. Just wasn't nearly as impressed with Bama as I was with the Rebs earlier in the year.

Auburn 3-0 as well, I don't like calling sweeps, but geez Georgia is gawd awful.

Kentucky will bounce back and I'm calling sweep here too.

Vandy sweeps as well I believe. If Misery wins one it'll be Friday night.

I hate to do it as well but LSU 2-1. Tigers hitting the ball way to good right now, although the best way to stop that is with great pitching, which Arkansas has. Should be a good series. Unfortunately this weekend is my bachelor party so I won't be able to watch or listen friday and saturday.

2-1 LSU
2-1 S. Carolina
2-1 Miss State
2-1 Ole Miss
2-1 Auburn
2-1 Kentucky
2-1 Vandy

I don't think anybody sweeps this weekend. Sweeps are hard to come by in conference play and there has already been too many of them. Everything evens out this weekend.

Thanks. I'll just have to do my best to find updates in my extreme drunken state of mind.

Knowing very little about the SEC, here are my picks. I've finished first one week and last another on the Rivals board for SEC picks for an overall 3rd place.
Arkansas 2-1
Vanderbilt 3-0
Florida 2-1
Kentucky 2-1
Texas A&M 2-1
Mississippi 2-1
Auburn 2-1

Just a fan of Arkansas, other than the fact it produced Bill Clinton. You have to love that fathers walk their sons to school in Arkansas because they are both in the same grade. Also, I love that people that drive pickup trucks in Arkansas have more curtains in their pickups than in their houses.

Just having a little fun with you hogfan4life. As I mentioned in a prior post, I spent some time at at Walmart U. learning their logistics systems and really enjoyed the Arkansas people. I found the area and the people to be very similar to the mid-Wilamette Valley in Oregon.

Florida takes game 1, 3-2. Missed obstruction call to end the game IMO. Tobias blocked third prior to receiving the ball.

SEC SCOREBOARD 4-12

#2 LSU 6 #8 Arkansas 2 (LSU 1-0)
#3 Vandy 11 Mizzou 5 (Vandy 1-0)
#9 South Carolina 3 Florida 4 (UF 2-0)
#10 Kentucky 5 Tennessee 4 (UK 1-0)
#22 Miss St. 3 Texas A&M 2 (Miss St. 1-0)
#21 Ole Miss 6 Alabama 0 (Miss 1-0)
Auburn 4 Georgia 3 (Auburn 1-0)

So far the shocker is Florida over South Carolina. Surely didnt see that one coming. Florida wont make the tourny, but that are going to alter the SEC race somehow.
