The only ones I'm really familiar with is Appel and Sherfy, so just throwing darts but the rest of the nation hears a lot about Appel and his success. Dude is a stud.

Both are great. I'm watching Appel beat UCLA tonight.

How about the SEC? Who do you think?

Man Ill tell you there are few candidates. Of Course I have to put Nola from LSU in there. 10-0/1.94ERA/105 SO-14BB. Nola also has for complete games and leads the SEC in strikeouts. Other than him, you have to go with Beede from Vanderbilt and Bobby Wahl from Ole Miss. Now one of those guys will get SEC Pitcher of the Year, but I think the best pitcher is Ryne Stanek from Arkansas. I look at LSU as a very good hitting team but we have not got a earned run on him in two games this season. His overall numbers like wins and losses aren't good because the bats have failed him in games, but the guy has like a 1.5 ERA.

I think Thorpe is the most dominant he ever has been. Not the best, but most effective for the ducks down the stretch. He will be the key if we are to do anything in the post season. Sherfy is the most electric, but has the issues with making things too dramatic. He is much better this year though.. He gets behind though, and when teams guess right, they can punish him. Appel is the workhorse of the bunch. Reminds me of the pitcher form AZ last year.. Too bad he did not have more help from his team.. Moore is pretty decent, and Berg is reallly good as well.

Thorpe is 7-4 with a 2.22, he wouldn't be top 5. Appel (10-4 2.12), Boyd (10-3 2.09), Moore (12-1 1.22), Wetzler (7-1 1.46), Tuig (10-3 1.96) would all be ahead.

Based off of stats I'm going to go with Andrew Moore.

Berg is probably the best reliever/closer (0.58 ERA), definitely beats out Sherfy (1.67 ERA).

Over the year, you are right Ophi just saying the last two games, Thorpe has moved into that company.
