I thought you couldn't change pitchers mid at bat..
Yes, you can, but the batter belongs to the previous pitcher. So if Hayes had hit a homer, Graveman would have been charged with two earned runs.

Trying to catch the game between graduation ceremonies. I see the link I sent you was not the link I intended to send. Sorry about that. I don't have access to it right now.

DM wonders aloud whether all the Beaver fans have traveled to Omaha as nobody is trading lame posts with him on the PG forum. Makes a face that no one can see, swigs a beer, and watches GameTracker animation of Conforto's ground-rule double.

DM, you can try this link. But it's one of those where you have to download some other software.

Yes, thanks, Bob. A lot of "free" crap I'll have to delete after the CWS is done, but worth it in the interim.

All right this is an interesting development, started in the super vs. KSU: Matt Boyd is our go-to guy from the bullpen? Going back to his role last year, but he is the most dependable arm in the pen. I am with it. We need to notch the first two wins. But what happens in game three?

Bummer. A good throw from the cutoff man would have nailed that second runner at the plate.

With a full day between games if he doesn't pitch for more than maybe two batters on monday then he should be ok

That was close. Nice swing by Danny Hayes. So close to a walkoff homer.

Man what a great game to kick off the CWS, though it isn't quite the result the beavs wanted.

Could this be a Missippi State LSU championship? Beavs are looking at the barbeque if they don't win on Monday. I sure hope UCLA wins, would be really crappy if the pac go 0-4. Down year IMO for pac. You can scream and yell, but to lose with one of the premiere pitchers in the country, ouch.

I am really having a hard time feeling bad for the beavs. I want UCLA to win it all. Just not sure if the Pac is up to it this year.

Close only counts in horseshoes and hand-grenades.. Warning track power.

Don't automatically assume that LSU will be there RD. We have a tough road yet. I told you Miss St was good, and IMO hunter renfroe running out that ground ball was the difference.

Can anyone explain the bunt attempt in the 9th? With 2 strikes. With Conforto up next who they would instantly walk if the bunt was successful anyways. Seemed like a free out to me.
