Jace is looking awesome so far. Was a little concerned over control issues last year, but he has it today. Good move to first too.

6-0, bats are awake. Wonder if Moore was a little shaken by being moved up to the opening start yesterday.

It's still wonky, it's about 15-30 seconds behind the Nebraska NeuLion feed...at least for me. So I'm using the Nebraska one (even though there shouldn't be a difference).

It was a good game. Husker fans are decent folks. Sat in front of the mother and grandmother of one of the incoming freshmen (who didn't get any game time, but he might as the weekend progresses). It was interesting getting her inside perspective on the clubhouse activities.

Oh yeah. Got there early because I could not find on the Tempe Diablo Stadium website how much tickets would be and wanted to get a good seat. But when I tried to buy a ticket, the woman said it was free. Sat six rows behind the Beaver dugout. In the shade. Perfect sleeveless tee weather. Hot dog and a beer. Heaven.

One of these years I will make it out for the Home opener for the ducks. I think it would be a good excuse to get out of this rain.

I can tell you Riverduck, Les Murakami Stadium in Hawai'i is about as good as it gets if one was to travel to an opener. They serve beer, decent food, nice stadium with a cool backdrop, oh yeah...and you're in Hawai'i.
