Let's get this thing started.

Anyone else listening to the Wazzu announcer via the video feed? Don't know that guy's name, but I've listened to him a number of times. Thee quirkiest voice in baseball.

Wow.....Ben gives up his 3rd ER this season. I guess they can have that one. It could be all they get tonight. A LOT of nasal in this guy's voice.

Yep, very nasally! I had to turn off the audio for the video feed and go with Mike Parker. His call is a few second ahead of the video, but still better then listing to the twang.

I'm sure you all have this info, but just in case, you can catch the Beavers radio on the following:

So, what do you folks with more baseball acumen than I think. Was that interference on the throw to 1st?

Good call. The runner needs to run outside the the line and in the secondary line on the way to first.

From the rule book:

In running the last half of the distance from home plate to first base while
the ball is being fielded to first base, the batter-runner runs outside the
3-foot restraining line or inside the foul line and, in so doing, interferes
with the fielder taking the throw at first base, except that the batter may
go outside these lines to avoid a fielder attempting to field a batted ball;
A.R. 1—If the batter-runner runs illegally inside the foul line for the last 45 feet and
interferes with the attempted catch of the thrown ball, or is hit by the throw, the batterrunner
shall be called out even if the runner is in his approach to the base.
A.R. 2—The batter-runner is considered outside this 3-foot lane if either foot is outside
either line

The Wazzu homers are saying it was a bad call, but he was WAY out of his lane.

I don't think I would try to bunt for a hit with two outs. Especially if I were a switch hitter swinging from the right side.

Wetzler is struggling tonight. Parker just said he has given up 2 earned runs in the last 47 innings.

Well, Benny had to run into a snag sooner or later. Down 4-1 with the whole team performing atrociously, I still think he can work through it. We'll see if the OSU bats can come alive. Looks like we'll have beat 'em with the bats. Oh Yeah!

I might need to open up my Johnny Walker Blue tonight to get me through the game.

His control is off tonight. Five walks? And behind almost every batter. Everyone is off tonight. We need an offensive spark to change things up.
