Good stuff Lancer. Great park for a LHP.

Not sure if 375 is the deepest LF foul line in the country but it has to be up there. If any of our readers know of one that is deeper tell us about it here.

Rancho Buena Vista (CA) has a massive CF with a fence that measures 485 feet from home. Instead of a distance sign, it reads "Your Dreaming." The large pasture was patrolled by future big leaguer Dave Roberts during the early 90s. Supposedly, three players have hit home runs out of CF, including future gold glove winner Eric Chavez (Mt. Carmel) and the 6th overall pick of the 1995 draft, Jaime Jones (Rancho Bernardo).

With the HS season starting, Just want to share this image from a scrimmage
game at historic War Memorial Stadium in Nogales, Arizona.

War Memorial Stadium has a very asymmetrical field.. 375 LF/ 365 CF / 349 RF. I heard they were brick all around when they built it for the 1979 Babe Ruth World Series. Don't know when they changed to regular fences. Must have had a few broken bones hitting the brick wall.

Are there any longer LF distance out there?

                             " Eye on the Ball."
edited by Lancer22 on 2/19/2011
