I know through two games LSU's Mahtook has 3 homers.. i was wondering if any other players have as many or more than the Tiger centerfielder, I'm sure there are a couple I just haven't heard of any.

James Madison has hit 20 homeruns in 3 games I believe. One guy has 5 and another has 4.

And Kendall if you read this: Keep up the good work! I followed you over here from Rivals, as I'm sure did a lot of people.

That's crazy. is their opponent that bad or are they that good?

Mahtook hits his fourth today..a three run bomb.

I personally don't know why Matook isn't mentioned more as a potential 1st round pick. I'm guilty too, I just did a first round mock, considered putting him on and didn't. Scouts don't love his swing mechanics but there isn't a more athletic player in the country and you can't argue with the performance or makeup.

It's a little concerning that his 4 home runs this weekend were his only 4 hits, but I'll give him the benefit of the doubt for now with such a small sample size of 11 plate appearances.

.444 (4 for 9), 4 HR, 6 RBI, 6 R, 2 BB, 1 K

UNLVs Brandon Bayardi has hit two home runs in their opening series against Maine. One of them being a Grand Slam.

I liked the way Mahtook looked, but I was way more impressed with Jacoby Jones' play. He looked like a fine addition to the squad, both on the field and swinging the bat.

Jacoby Jones looks like the real deal, alot of plate presence and look good in the field, should be very interesting to see him develop as the season goes on. Mahtook hit the ball hard even on his outs, if he can shorten his swing with two strikes and keep his strikeouts low, he could have a special season.

LSU's sweep was impressive and the new crop stepped up, but against Wake Forest.
