I have to get a gauge of what people think here, but I'm rather confused by those out there that think Wittels should be suspended until his "case" is over. What these people do not realize that there's no "case" at all right now. As a matter of fact, the Bahamian authorities are deciding in late March and early April if the situation even warrants a case. Therefore, there's not a single reason why he should be sitting out right now.

If he is guilty of the charge, then he obviously would miss the rest of the season once the trial is over. But if he's cleared of the charges, FIU would look silly as heck to suspend him until then.

Personally, I commend FIU for not going overboard here.

Thoughts?
