(Live Game Blog at Inside Carolina)

Chapel Hill, North Carolina

Freshman left handed pitcher Kent Emanuel rose to the occasion on Sunday after the Tar Heels had already lost the series against the 20th ranked Miami Hurricanes. The Canes stacked their lineup with right handed batters but to no avail as the Woodstock Georgia product spotted his fastball and put away batters with a nasty plus cutter.

In my opinion if Emanuel is able to get his curveball working or develops a hard breaking pitch like a slider he will leave Chapel Hill in two more years a multi-millionaire.

great win yesterday, and especially after the second game on Sat. I thought they played well on Sat. evening but just couldn't get the ball to drop when the had to. Hopefully the ship is righted now.
