Through Tuesday Still a lot of question marks after week 1 especially in the West. The East seems to be more divided than before with Vandy and Fla getting quality wins and Kentucky and Georgia with dismal losses. The West seems more up for grabs than before. No team in the West has a marquee win to hang their hat on yet but showed a lot of promise with a lot of solid young arms and steady bats. Here are my Week 1 Power standings
East
1. Vanderbilt (4-0) Defeated San Diego X3, San Diego St. 2. Florida (4-0) Defeated South Florida X3, Florida Atlantic 3. South Carolina (3-0) Defeated Santa Clara X3 4. Tennessee (2-1) Took 2 of 3 from UW-Milwaukee 5. Kentucky (1-3) Defeated Moorehead St., Lost to Miami (OH), Lost to Marshall, Lost to College of Charleston 6. Georgia (0-3) Lost to Stetson X3
West
1. LSU (4-0) Defeated Wake Forest X3, Defeated New Orleans 2. Auburn (3-1) Defeated Arkansas St., Defeated UAB, Defeated Jacksonville St., Lost to Virginia 3. Arkansas (3-0) Defeated Delaware St. X3 4. Alabama (4-0) Defeated Alcorn St. X3, Defeated Alabama St. 5. Ole Miss. (4-0) Defeated Wright St. X3, Defeated Memphis 6. Miss. St. (5-0) Defeated Akron X2, Defeated Lamar X2, Defeated Northwestern St.

Wow, 23-1 is a pretty nice start.

This for the west ^
but ccox, really? in the East? I think UF will wind up best, but "power poll" inherently refers to who has been best so far, or who had the best week. Don't think UF can be #1 after what Vandy did this week. East Vanderbilt Florida South Caroilna Tennessee Kentucky Georgia edited by bamzoo on 2/23/2011

I wouldn't say "power poll" "inherently" refers to anything... Based off of the criteria of what each team has done so far, I would agree with your order... Florida is clearly the best team, however...

Yeah, you're probably right. Florida is the best team right now IMO. Austin Maddox and Preston Tucker give me nightmares.

That pitching staff gives me nightmares. How do you return an entire staff that was very good and add the #7 overall pick in the draft to that. That's unheard of in college baseball. UCLA's is close but Florida's offense is way better than their's.
