OSU catcher Susac returned today for the first time after sustaining a broken wrist bone and surgery. Neither he or the 3rd string catcher are ready to catch yet (feel bad for the 2nd-stringer!), but tonight as DH, Susac already showed why he has been missed with a 2 RBI single.

Adam Duke aslo played for the first time this year. He looked good except for the homer he gave up.

Susac was definitely missed. His timing got better each at-bat. He almost took a ball deep in dead center field which doesn't happen much at Goss. His timing will be even better this weekend. It is nice to see.

On a side note, it was cool to see Ryan Dunn hit for the cycle that game!

Yeah, but at least he was not drinking and driving.. Oh and does that mean that OSU is better because Checketts graduated from OSU? I was actually trying to show some empathy. I truly like listening to that guy spin the game. Some of the more memorable games I have listened to this year came from his spin. No hitter, and the last civil war. good stuff.

Funny I am defending the guy, but it was not like he assaulted anyone, or stole a guitar.

He definately is a classy guy. Most of Beaver Nation is happy to have him despite his melodramatic moments, regardless of his alma mater.

My own take on the napkin incident is... who cares? Not really sure why it is such a big deal to do something stupid (that hurts no one at all) while intoxicated. It's not like he ate the napkin on the job or anything. Heck, it was recorded on a cell-phone, not a studio camera.

Aaron Fitt already has a blog entry on this game.

Also this on Osich's no-hitter, which he was there for.

Great news for the Beavers ... glad he's back in the saddle.
