UCLA, Fresno St, UC Irvine and San Francisco... definitely a tough regional if you ask me.

I think that San Francisco is a very strong #4 seed, look for them to play some good baseball this weekend

I like it for UCLA, especially with that rotation. We've beaten Irvine and SF(Granted SF played us close). Irvine/Fresno on Friday should be a really interesting game.

Fresno State will be tough for us. They actually Hit home runs in the "Frank Baker era." With Cole & Bauer throwing 95-101 MPH their hitters will be waiting on the fastball to drive for the BIG FLY.
We will have to score some runs if we're to keep up with their output.
Last year LSU paid for televising the entire LA regional.
They will be sorely missed.

I think UCLA should just be happy to be hosting a regional and to be a 1 seed. Not many would agree with either. They have been given the benefit of the doubt all season in the polls due to their 2 stud pitchers. Now it's time for them to step up and prove it.

They won the Pac 10. They just blew out an ASU team most people had picked as a National Seed for most of the season. I'd say it's been a little more then the benefit of the doubt because of two pitchers.

I'm sorry but 33-22 I think it is? Not worthy I don't care what conference you won. You can say look at the wins, but you've got to look at the losses too. Fresno will win the regional.

You got the regional based on location and nothing more. Tell your school to use some of the millions it has to actually build a baseball facility that isn't topped by some little league facilities in my town.

Hmm. SMEagle fans getting testy over not getting a host and picking on UCLA, whom they believe stole theirs. Precious!

Do you disagree? Southern Miss may not be the victim, but UCLA stole someone's regional.

When UCLA has averages more than 500 for a top 5 matchup, come talk to me Dodger.

I'm not talking about whether or not we deserved a regional. I commented on the fact you said they have gotten the benefit of the doubt in the polls because of two pitchers. Sitting here crying about something irrelevant like attendance and pretending it should somehow be the deciding factor in hosting situations isn't getting anyone anywhere. If Fresno(The same Bulldog team that just got swept by Bakersfield)) wins the regional, I'll go streaking during the opener in Omaha.

I hesitate to think what you would do if USF won the UCLA regional!

My mind cannot comprehend that thought. Or the actions it would require Suicide

Well, they have been given the benefit of the doubt based on Cole and Bauer. Aaron Fitt and Kendall have pretty much said as much. Everyone keeps waiting on the team to live up to their preseason billing. This site and Baseball America have pretty much been rooting for you guys all season. I'm not mad about it, I was just stating an opinion that the rankings gave UCLA the benefit of the doubt that they would eventually turn things in the right direction. They were slow to drop UCLA and quick to return them.
The NCAA Selection Committee gave UCLA a host and a 1 seed based on winning the conf. and location.

Fresno had a higher RPI, better record, better facilties, and better attendance.....those are facts.
