BA's latest poll has:

#1 Florida
#2 Vandy
#4 USC

It is tough to be in the top 5, yet still ranked third highest in your division

i agree that the east is a little top heavy... the west is much more open

i know its early but just my thoughts
auburn has had some bad losses and looks decent at best so far
alabama had a rough weekend and is rebuilding
both mississippi schools have had a bad loss early

LSU and Arky do look solid thus far though!

Gotta love SEC baseball though! The fans, the stadiums, the coaches, and the competition get no better!

I'm not sure where you get "some" bad losses for Auburn considering they have lost 2 games and one was to top 15 UVA but anyways..the west is definitely wide open

I mean to me its kinda considered a bad loss bc of the 13-2 score, not necessarily the opponent. And Radford was really the loss is was referring to.

But I'm sure theyll hit their stride later on (like i said, its early)

Just for clarification, are you considering Ole Miss' loss at Houston "bad" because of the score of the game? Or do you think that was just a bad loss in general and Houston is not very good?

JC5, your correct. Ole Miss has done all they need to do so far. I was off by saying they had a bad loss. Houston is a quality team and 2/3 from them is a good series win.

I think I was just expecting Ole Miss to look a little better against Wright St.

I was just saying that the West looks wide open. No one seems to have made a dominant impression like Fla and Vandy have so far in the East.

I can agree with this. We certainly didn't stomp on them and look as flashy as I had hoped, but they are picked to win their conference and it was the opening week.

The West is wide open and it is a good year to be a team in the West and not in the East. The top half is just brutal...
