The teams have split the first two games in the series, 1-0 UCLA in 11 innings, and 2-1 NU in 12 innings. Cole and Bauer were nearly perfect, but both took no decisions. Nebraska has had outstanding pitching performances from Jon Keller and Casey Hauptman on Friday and Matt Freeman and Dylan Vogt today. The rubber match tomorrow should be another great game.

Huskers seem to play when it counts.. but when you play inferior teams you melt away. Whats the deal huskers?

Cole and Bauer have been throwing out of their minds. It's a shame they can't get any support from the bats. It'll be interesting to see if Plutko gets some help tomorrow.

They'll be facing a true Freshman making his first start, but they faced a true Freshman on Friday and got shut down so who knows. This has been one of the better pitched series I've seen in awhile.

Huskers take the series with a 5-4 win in 11 innings. NU 2B Bryan Peters had a walk-off single yesterday and a walk-off homer today.

HELP on the new bats?????
Something is wrong regarding the bats that the Bruins are using?
These guys should be hitting their stride about now and they are not.
Have there been hitters that switched their bat weight from a year ago to accomadate the weaker power in this years bats?
Let me know, please. The Cornhuskers were able to hit some big home runs over the weekend.
We will have to find out this Dodgertown Classic weekend, ajustments have to be made or it could be a long season for some very good pitchers.
