RD, I hope you were able to make it to the game tonight even though your Ducks lost. What a great atmosphere and stadium. My bet is that the Ducks win the next two and move to the World Series. I'll have to watch the next game or two from TV, but I'm glad I made it to the game tonight.

The Beavers Marketing and Athletic Department can really learn a thing or two from how the Ducks do business.

DM, my Duck buddy, who is a Phd in English, says that you have improperly used the word herd and that is should be heard and really doesn't see your humor in using the word owl instead of "all". Poor guy. I almost feel as bad for him as I do for RD.

Bob finally goated me into posting. Duck Jim here. Ducks making a run now. He's now a bad guy for a Beaver. Ducks will win in two.

A beaver goating a duck. Now I've herd it owl.

MostUnknown, it looks like TCU has a smile on his face. He must like being whipped.

Poor Stanford. Already down 3-0 in top of the second. Just replaced starting pitcher.

Thanks much. I'm off at a park with my family celebrating a birthday and have no access to TV.

Stonybrook doesn't seem the least bit intimiated by LSU. It's great to see them jump on LSU early 3-1.

Tiebreaker

By luck we didn't need a tiebreaker last week, but we probably will this week. And it's this: Guess the average runs scored per game by Stony Brook in the Baton Rouge super regional. Fractional numbers are okay. (The number will likely be a third, half, two-thirds.) And try to pick a number DIFFERENT from everyone else's.

For some perspective: The Seawolves averaged 10.0 runs per game in the Coral Gables regional against Miami, Missouri State, and UCF. They have the highest winning percentage in the field (50-12, .806) and are ISR 67. Boyd gives them a 6.9% to beat LSU, which is better than St. John's odds against Arizona.

Kent State has let too many opportunties go by tonight. I think the Ducks will ultimately take advantage and win by a webfoot.

Not looking good for the green chickens. I have to confess, I'm still kinda rooting for them, but I would have a much easier time doing so if they were playing an SEC or ACC team. I've been wanting Kent State to succeed for some time.

I'm actually quite pleased to see so many Duck fans there rooting for their baseball team. Baseball is absolutely my favorite sport (nothing else comes close), and to see it take root in Eugene is a good thing.

RD, as they say, there is always next year. It took the Beavs several years to make the climb to the WS.

feels like we giftwrapped it for them. Wow. that one really stings. We were really out of arms, thankful they gave us a shot at the end. Glad I only had to experience one walk of shame that series. Two would have been to much to handle.

I really miss the old Beaver Hut on Hwy 20. The place was filled with beavers. After a few dimers, all of the beavers looked alike.

Anytime. I was at PK Park for the Saturday game. What a great atmosophere. It was a very long drive back to Portland with my Duck buddy.

Man, I had a blast in those regionals. My wife really taught me a lesson or two. We really have no say in the matter, we just have to trust and understand the process.
Cheers. BB- I will venture to sit with you in a beavs game one of these days. Hopefully vice versa at PK.

What do you think Matt. One more set of projections for the WS? We still have two Pac 11 teams left. Then we can fade into the summer and get on with our lives.

RD, it is impressive. If I wasn't a die-hard Beaver, I would find it in my heart to root for the Ducks. I do root for your track team. Great atmosphere at Hayward. In fact, I'll be down for the Olympic trials.

What's the outlook for next year's SunDevils?
