Good number FB. Good Beavers tend to go with 6s or 9s. The combination of 6s and 9s are often winners too.

Looks like I missed some lively discussion. With only a 6th grade education, I'm not sure I am qualified to participate, but when time permits, I may need to share my thoughts.

Sounds like Fullerton's current coach is also a yeller. Does anybody know his status?

I like Coach Hodor. He has shown some great character over the last few seasons. And this...

"After all three losses, Horton held court with his team for around 30 minutes. He kept a calm demeanor when speaking to his guys, exuding a composure that often times his team lacked over the weekend"

...contrasts greatly with that other former CSU Fullerton coach currently at Texas who berated his team on camera in the locker room a few years back with every expletive known to man (and a few known only to bovines) in the angriest coaching tirade I have ever seen. Not my style. I hope the Ducks pull it together and run the table for the rest of the season.

Editor mode now: "They reverted back to the attitude that once had the Ducks biting at the heals of the Beavers and Huskies for first place in the Pac-12."

Ducks should not bite someone's heals. Heal thyself!

DM, I agree with your post in another thread about your desire to see the Ducks run the table. While I rarely root for the Ducks, I think a good showing by them bolsters the Pac 12. They have good enough pitching that if they get hot, they can find their way to the Supers or even the CWS.

Hendrix is becoming a good hitter for the Beavers. A single and a triple for him thus far tonight.

I almost went to ASU. I visited the University with a buddy of mine during my Senior year of high school. The weather and women were both fantastic.

MB, I really haven't followed Cal Poly. What are their supposed strenghts? Pitching? Hitting?

Every time Conforto gets close to catching him in RBIs, DD makes a statement. It's nice to have the leagues top two RBI leaders.

I haven't had a chance to check the D1 Baseball board. With all of the rain in Florida over the last several days, are they able to get much baseball in this weekend?

MB, a question for you regarding UM and why they are in the ACC. I know they were an Independent for some time, at least in Football. What drove them into the ACC instead of the SEC? The same for FSU?

I don't know WTF happened to the Pac-12 network, but the Wildcat-Duck game turned into Huskie softball and all the links keep going there.

What's happened to the Pac 12 powerhouses of baseball: SC, Arizona, UCLA, Stanford, and to some degree, ASU? What is going on in the NW that has created the best teams in the league? Is it talent? Coaching?

Thanks. I was thinking it was driven primarily by academics, but wasn't sure. I know that Boise State has tried to move to the Pac 12 but has been denied due to its academic reputation.

The ACC as a group is a much better fit. Academically we align with the ACC schools much better than with the glorified junior colleges in the SEC. Also, our alumni demographic is about as un-South as it gets. We have alums up the east coast, not in Arkansas and Tennessee.

I agree. I loved his last comments regarding the fact that he thought both his team and Standford should of been in the regionals last year. He referred to the SEC bias of where they have 8-10 teams in the tournament.

Best Pitchers in the Pac 12?

What do you think? I'll start with what I think are the top three: Wetzler, Gold, and Fry.

According to the experts, Fry has the most potential in the draft. Gold is still undefeated this year at 9-0. Wetzler has the best ERA and opposing batting average.
