Derek Randolph is a 2005 third baseman/first baseman from Key West Florida with a thick strong body at 6 ft. 2 225 pounds. He has very strong hands, and arms that he uses well with a simple swing. He generates lots of bat speed and shows big time power. The ball jumps off his bat and he launched a huge bomb during BP. He made solid hard contact showing power during the games as well. He has a solid glove with good hands, and topped out at 78 mph across the infield. He projects out as a power hitting first baseman at the next level. The bat plays large.
