Carlo Galluccio is a 2007 2B/IF with a 5'8'', 165 lb. frame from Coral Springs FL, who attends JP Taravella HS. He has a short, stocky build with very good present strength. Galluccio ran the 60 in a quick 6.94 in the 60 and threw 87 mph during infield drills during drills, very good raw arm strength for a primary second baseman. His lower half strength gives him good balance on defense and he has fluid actions and soft hands on ground balls. It looks like he's an above average defensive second baseman. Offensively, Galluccio hits from an open stance with a pre-load approach and compact, line drive swing. He stayed inside the ball well and hit the ball to all fields. Galluccio looks a little pre-programed in his hitting approach and he should have the strength to let the bat go occasionally and show some power and aggressiveness. He still has room to develop offensively. Galluccio is a good student with the baseball tools to play at the next level.
