2003 World Showcase
Cipolla was relatively unknown to our scouts before Ft Myers in January. He is a big strong guy with a big league body. He shows some arm strength and athletic ability. He's a high level switch hitter with big time power potential. We liked his swing from the left side the best. Good both ways, but the timing looked a bit better from the left. Real fast bat that is short to the ball. The ball jumps off his wood bat to all fields. This kid has professional hitting ability and could become a nice draft pick. For sure he is going to hit at a high level of college baseball. He needs to be followed.
