2003 World Showcase
Hobgood is a big strong 1B with pretty good hands. Like most 1B his best tool is the bat. He shows good balance and a nice swing with a little lift. He has big time power potential and hit some very hard line drives in both BP and the games. He holds his hands slightly split apart, but it doesn't seem to affect his nice swing. Looks like he could hit a ton at the next level. His other tools pale in comparison, but he has the right tools for 1B. He's a potential masher.
