Dawson Steele is a 2026 RHP with a 6-2 185 lb. frame from Louisville, NE who attends Bellevue West. Solid young pitcher's build with plenty of physical projection remaining. Starts from a short side step into a high leg raise and pause over the rubber, gets down the mound well with good lower half drive down the mound, will sometimes get out in front coming down the mound and leave his arm behind. Curveball was his best pitch this outing, has tight spin and sharp biting action and was well tunneled with his fastball, also commanded his curveball better than his fastball. Fastball sat at 82-83 mph, mostly straight. Good bet to keep improving with additional strength and repetitions. 7.13 runner in the sixty. Plays outfield when not on the mound, showed his arm strength well in drills. Right handed hitter, hits from an open stance with a big drift into his swing, lands hard on his front side, has the strength to impact the ball to the middle of the field when he is timed up. Named to the Kansas City Indoor Showcase Top Prospect List.
