Jared Wellman is a 2026 OF with a 5-9 173 lb. frame from Waterloo, ON who attends Ontario. Medium, square shouldered frame with present strength proportioned throughout. Ran a 7.81 60-yard dash. Primary outfielder, moves well to the ball and goes after it, fields the ball to side, long arm action through the backside and shows carry on throws to the intended base with plenty of accuracy, will continue to refine but nice foundation of tools. Right-handed hitter, begins with a wide and even base with a high back elbow and utilizes a toe tap trigger for timing in the box. Controlled stroke and shows strength off of the barrel, consistent and repeatable mechanics swing-to-swing. Ball jumps off well to the pull side, strength in hands with present bat speed through the zone. Excellent student.
